Save the Date: 2009 Business Arts Partnership Awards

Save the date for the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s 2009 Business Arts Partnership Awards, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fri., Mar. 6 at COSI Columbus

The annual Business Arts Partnership awards honor the corporate community's crucial support of the arts in Columbus by allowing arts organizations to publicly recognize the generous support provided by outstanding corporate partners. Each year, GCAC solicits nominations from the arts community in three categories: Small Business (up to 50 employees); Medium Business (51-500 employees); and Large Business (over 500 employees). The winner in each category receives an original work of art by a local artist.

At the event, GCAC will also present the 2009 Artistic Excellence Award—a $10,000 prize given annually to an arts organization that has demonstrated innovation, risk and artistic excellence in a performance, exhibition or program. This year’s winner was Anatomical Scenario Movement Theater for Anna and the Annadroids.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2009 event. For more information about sponsoring the Business Arts Partnership Awards, contact Emily Swartzlander at eswartzlander@gcac.org. Proceeds from the Business Arts Partnership Awards go to GCAC’s educational programming for children.
