2 million Americans each year.
The holidays bring many wonderful things - good food, family visits, twinkling lights and special traditions. Unfortunately for some, the stress of the holiday season outweighs the joys.
Columbus Area, Inc., "Gateway to Wellness Services," recently initiated the Somali Community Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Outreach and Prevention program, funded by ADAMH.
The Consumer and Family Advocacy Council (CFAC) is a group of volunteers that advocate on behalf of consumers and family members suffering from mental illnesses and addictions. Anyone interested in joining CFAC and their mission are welcome to attend the group's monthly meetings.
